Professional Photography

Whether it is landscape, action, portrait, event or commercial photography – I like it all! When I just started off in photography, I was mostly interested in trying strange effects. Playing with long and short shutter speeds was what initially drew me into photography. I really liked how you could set your camera up in a certain way, and something interesting would come out.

Playing with cameras as an amateur was essential to my progress. You have to learn how to walk before you can run and this is especially true for photography. Everyone can take a nice photograph, but can you do in consistently and when it matters? This is where the millage comes in. You have to make a lot of photographs before you have the skillset to be a professional.

The first times on a professional assignment were certainly not easy. I did not know what the client wanted exactly and thus I was a bit nervous. Over the years, these nerves disappeared (although I still feel them a little bit, but that is healthy). Confidence grew incrementally and with that the quality of my work.

When I arrived in Innsbruck, one thing was for sure. I would go all-in on my professional photography. In the past four years I have been shooting such a wide variety of subjects and projects. I do love commercial photography shoots for brands and events. Working with professional models really showed me how you can create something epic together. Events are interesting too as they present the opportunity to capture the feelings and emotions that athletes feel. Working with athletes is incredibly rewarding when it works out. It almost feels like you’re creating art sometimes.

Nowadays, I love the variety that photography allows me to capture. I even ventured into real estate and wedding photography as a way to explore new terrain. I basically enjoy every aspect of being a self-employed creative and can whole-heartedly say that I love photography!
